One of the most important steps in building your website is determining your budget.  That will tell us which direction we take you. This is why the FREE 30 Minute Initial Consultation is so important.  We'll find out what you want to build and explain how we can help you to accomplish your goals.

Our years of experience have given us the insight to help get to a plan of action quickly.  Most important is that you know in advance about how much you want to spend.  That's why we've created a chart (below) showing a scale from FREE on up to $1500 or more.  Keep in mind, the more we do for you the more we need to charge you for our time.  That is why we have both the Do-it-Yourself packages and our Workshops: To help you save money!

Definition of Terms:

Consultation: Scheduled appointment to discuss needs. Determine plan of action

Internet Station: Internet Café - Surf only, plus limited Office programs. Print up to 10 pages B/W. Self-Serve or Pro-Assisted. Tech support included.

Workstations:  Internet Café including design computer, scanner, pricing up to 10 pages B/W. Self-Serve or Pro-Assisted. Tech support included.

Hourly Rate: Used for work done other than listed here, such as special graphics, design, administration, marketing, etc.  Paid as a retainer, the fee will be charged against in 15 minute increments for existing clients.

Per Web Page Rate: This is a rule of thumb rate used for a custom designed site, using content provided by client.  May require workshop. Please see minimum custom designed site.

Minimum Site: Design up to 3 pages using content provided by client.

Do-it- yourself: Several of the D.I.Y. packaged sites that allow you to build, design and maintain your website using only your browser (i.e. Internet Explorer.)  Ask for details.

PayPal Site: Website using a self directed, free credit card payment processing. Limited functionality. See PayPal.com for more information. This is an alternative to using a regular business merchant account for payment.

Standard Website: A brochure-like site with pages created from content provided by client.

E-commerce Site: An advanced site giving client ability to create and manage a "store" online. Accept credit cards through client's merchant account (set up separately.) Client enters products, descriptions and pricing as well as policies.

Hosting: Where your website is located, on a server connected to the Internet. Just like "renting" space. Some An Internet Store packages are written especially to work only on certain servers. We support these packages when hosted here.

Advanced Website: Any of the other packages we customize to meet special requirement by the client as well as "made from scratch" sites with e-commerce, databases, membership directories, searches etc.

Workshop: One of our more popular ways to build a website. Scheduled 2 Hours, one-on-one with a professional web designer. Can be used to learn "how to. . ." or you can direct the designer to build as you go. Schedule one, two, or as many workshops as you need.

  I don't know my budget - How much should I spend?
      There are so many options out there. We'll help you match your needs with economical solutions.

  Can I really do-it-myself?
      Yes you can!  Unlike most other Web Design companies, one of the unique things we do is Show You How!

  Why do I need An Internet Store to host some sites?
      Some of our Do-it-Yourself packages are designed to run on our own servers.  Other servers may support the packages, but we make no guarantees as to which ones will be compatible.

  How many workshops will it take?
      The number of workshops varies as to how prepared you are; how your computer skills are; and what the site you want to build is like.

  Which is the right E-Commerce site for me?
      Determine if you want to open a merchant account or just use PayPal.  Then, depending on how you want your products to be displayed will determine which site you choose.

  Can I customize any site I select?
      An Internet Store can customize any site we offer.  Your Site  Administration will allow for many customizable design features.  Sites can also be customized in a Workshop, if you'd like some help.

  Do I need a computer or special software?
      You don't need a computer, although most E-commerce sites require you to have email.  Our special packaged sites are built so you need only a browser like Internet Explorer.  No special software.  You can even use our Internet Cafe workstations!

  Can I just have An Internet Store build my site?
      You bet!  Many of our clients have us build their sites and then come in to learn how to make updates.

  Are there any other costs involved?
      The only other costs you'll encounter are registration fees for your domain name, ranging from $10-25 per year.  You can register your name yourself or have An Internet Store register for you.

  What if I want only one page?
      Then we suggest a workshop.  This is the quickest, and easiest way to build a single page.

  What workshops do you suggest once my site is built?
      We recommend you learn about marketing your site.  Building the site is not enough.  Learn how to drive traffic to your site.  Beware of those "get traffic quick schemes!"
